Sophie James Winery
I made a list of all of the things that I wanted to do or accomplish in this year of my life during my last birthday. I felt the need to write these things down in order to see them daily and make them a reality. One of the items on my list was to join a wine club.
This seems like a small or bizarre item to add to my list, but for me, it was a sign of investing in my interests. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve grown to love the ritual of wine. The way that it brings people together over a meal or puts an exclamation point at the end of a long day. I tend to not give as much attention or care to the things that I enjoy that may not be “important”, but if that’s what I preach doing, it’s important that I follow suit.
I’ve admired Sophie James winery from afar for quite some time. Their property alone was enough to make anyone swoon. I love to support local makers and creators, and joining a Northern California winery was a no brainer.
However, I am not the only person who has been admiring them from afar for ages, so joining the club requires patience and email alerts. The day I saw sign ups open back up, I jumped on and signed up.
I went to their tribe pick up party at True Botanicals this week, which was a dreamy oasis in a San Francisco heat wave. I returned home with three bottles of Rosé and a sense of pride that I crossed one of the items off of my list. Cheers!
