Current Favorite Apps

Sometimes I ask myself if there is a limit for how many applications I can have on my phone, and just as soon as I ask myself that question, I download another app. I swear there is truly an app for everything, but there are a few that I use daily and can’t live without. Here’s a look at the ones I need to get by.

SOCIAL

  1. Instagram - This goes without saying, but Instagram is my top used app. I think that Instragram is truly one of the best tools for connection, marketing and inspiration. I try to remain mindful of how much time I spend on my phone, and if I’m on my phone, I absolutely try to ensure that it’s for a purpose, so if you see me on my phone, I’m likely using that time to catch up on my Instragram feed, respond to comments and interact with content creators that I love. PHOTOGRAPHY EDITING

  1. Lightroom CC - Lightroom is the number one app that I use to edit my photos. I have the desktop version, but I love the app for editing and posting on Instragram when I’m on the go. Many people are intimidated by Lightroom because it causes for a bit of knowledge on how to use presets or how to create your own. I felt that same sense of intimidation when I first started using it, but once I started playing around with it, I fell in love with the final result of my pictures. Let me know in the comments if you would like a post all about Lightroom and my favorite presets!

FITNESS

  1. Equinox - Equinox is my primary gym, so I use their app to book and save classes for the week and check into the gym. Equinox doesn’t have a gym card, so the app is truly how you get entry into the gym.

  2. ClassPass - Classpass is a great app, and before I joined a gym, I used Classpass for all of my fitness classes. I now keep the most basic membership for when I travel. Having Classpass while traveling is the best because it makes it so simple to drop into a studio and take a class!

  3. Soulcycle - Ever since I joined a gym, I try and limit my outside classes of choice because they add up, QUICKLY, which is why I joined a gym in the first place. With that said, I do still love Soulcycle, so I jeep the app for a drop in class every now and then.

WELLNESS

  1. Essential Oils - Many of you know that I adore Essential Oils. They are an everyday part of my life. You can read a previous post of Essential Oils 101, HERE. This app serves as a pocket reference guide for all of the Essential Oils that I use and the purpose they serve. This comes in handy very regularly.

  2. Think Dirty - This is another app that comes in handy regularly when looking for clean products. The app serves as a data base of different household and beauty products and how “clean” they are for yourself and the environment. I’ve learned so much about products through using this app!

  3. Flo - I use Flo to track my monthly menstrual cycle. The app helps you log symptoms and the duration of the cycle. It’s always helpful to have this information for medical purposes. Highly recommend an app of this nature for all women!

TRAVEL

  1. Airline Apps - I have the app for all major airlines that I typically fly. I try to travel with a carry on as often as possible, so having an app makes it so easy to walk into the airport and head straight to the security gate!

  2. Ride Sharing Apps - I have both Lyft and Uber ready to go at all times, so I can’t just pick one.

  3. Pack Point - Just discovered this app, and I’m obsessed! The algorithm takes the information for where you’re traveling to, the duration of your trip and the weather in that destination to develop a curated packing list for you. I’ll be doing a full post on packing for a trip, so stay tuned for that later this week!

FOOD

  1. Postmates - I use Postmates much more than I care to admit. It's a bad habit that I’m trying to quit, but sometimes you just need frozen yogurt delivered to your door.

  2. Instacart- Instacart is an app that I was kind of forced to love. I accidentally bought a year subscription, and they wouldn’t refund me even though I hadn’t used the app yet, so when it comes to Customer Service, I wouldn’t recommend (you know I’m always going to be honest with y’all), but since I have started using it, I must admit that it makes life a lot easier. I usually order on my ride home on a Monday night so that my groceries for the week arrive by the time I get home.

  3. Caviar - I’m a huge fan of user interface, and I must admit, I reach for the Caviar app more often than not because I love the app experience. They curate menus based on a number of exciting factors. Currently Paleo? Want to support a women owned restaurant? There’s a list for that! Huge fan.
