Elderberry Syrup Recipe
I like to keep Elderberry Syrup around at all times. Elderberries are small but mighty. Do a quick internet search of Elderberries to learn more about them! Elderberry syrup at the store can get really expensive, and the bottles tend to be on the smaller side. Making it at home allows me to see everything that goes into it. Here’s the recipe I use for making it at home.
RECIPE
3/4 cup dried elderberries
3 cups of water
1 cup of raw honey
Optional: Young Living vitality oils
On the stove, bring the elderberries and water to a boil then reduce to low heat and cook for 40-45 minutes. Remove from heat and strain into a large bowl. Let cool slightly and then mix in the honey. Optional note: add in vitality oils to preference. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate!
