April 2020 Sephora Haul
So, I know what you’re thinking, what do we need makeup for if we aren’t leaving the house? The answer is, we don’t, but it definitely makes it more fun. I was one of the people who celebrated a quarantine birthday this year, and for my birthday, I received a Sephora gift card. Don’t you love when people just know you? Since I don’t currently have any makeup, I figured it would be a great time to try out some new products and make quarantine more fun. You can click through and shop everything I mention, below.
THE PRODUCTS
Anastasia Dewy Set Setting Spray
I haven’t used setting sprays for awhile, because I used to find that they made my oily skin even more oily. However, in the last eight months, my skin has made the shift from incredibly oily to extremely dry, so I thought it would be worth it to try again. Full disclaimer, I’ve only used all of these products once and wore them for an entire day, so these impressions are based off of one day of wear, but I really liked this spray! It did not make my skin appear shiny or oily at all, and it really did help to lock in the look.
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder
I was looking for a powder to set my concealer, and so far, I love this one. I love almost all Fenty Beauty products, so I shouldn’t be surprised, but I really like this one. It has such a fine and buttery texture that sets everything without making your face look chalky. Obsessed!
Beauty Blender One Pro
Tried and true. I just needed a new one and figured I would give the black one a try. I like that it’s dark and you can’t tell how dirty it is!
Urban Decay Stay Naked Concealer
I’m going to be honest. Since I purchased this online without testing out the shades, the shade I ended up ordering is entirely too light, but I was incredibly impressed with how well I was able to blend it out! It is incredibly buildable and really does the trick of covering up under eye darkness without giving you that dramatic highlighted look. Fan of the formula, but I need a new shade.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
I know this is so many people’s holy grail foundation, so I had to give it a shot. I get what all of the hype is about. Silky coverage, very buildable, long wear. Once again, I got the wrong shade, but I did have my darker Bare Minerals powder that I was able to use over it to darken everything up!
Natasha Denona Mini Blush and Glow
I really enjoy this blush and highlighter. I haven’t been wearing highlighter this Fall and Winter, but I’m coming back with a glowy vengeance during Spring and Summer. Both the highlighter and blush have incredibly fine glitter, which is super important. It makes both appear more airbrushed!
As you know, I love shopping at Sephora because they have THE BEST return policy, so I’m not worried about exchanging the products that I got in too light of a shade. Have you tried any of these products? Let me know in the comments!
