To Scrub, or Not to Scrub - Salt and Sugar Scalp Scrubs

I’ve recently been trying a number of salt scalp scrubs. Suffering from dry scalp and consistently experiencing product build up, I am always looking for a way to get my scalp as clean as possible. Salt scrubs are definitely having their moment right now, so I’ve given a couple a try.

I recently received this Deeptox Exfoliating Salt Shampoo from Eva Nyc, and I am loving it! Out of all of the scrubs I’ve tried, it definitely has the most “shampoo-like” texture in lather and slip. It’s not abrasive, and it doesn’t leave my scalp feeling completely stripped of its natural oils.

Ouai also makes a scalp and body scrub, which is incredible. The sugar crystals in this scrub dissolve so easily, and they don’t strip your scalp. I also use this as a body exfoliant before I spray tan.

The most famous scrub of the bunch is the Christophe Robin cleansing purifying scrub. This is the most expensive, but it’s also probably the most well known. For em, this scrub was entirely too abrasive for my scalp. After using it, I could feel small cuts on my scalp (TMI, I know). I will probably use the rest of the container that I have for my body.

Overall, both the Ouai scrub and the EvaNyc are great options, but for value, EvaNyc is a great choice!
