Everything Hair!

I always get questions on what I do to my hair. It always baffles me because it’s constantly just a mess and all over my head, and the volume is truly out of my control. However, I did realize that I have a pretty steady set of products, which, over time, have made my hair very soft, and have shielded it when I’ve done everything in my power to make sure it’s fried, died and laid to the side. These are all of the products that I use in addition to one or two that I’ve been wanting to try. If I haven’t used it yet, I will definitely let you know, and maybe we can try a few new things together.

Shampoo

One of my “secrets” is that don’t shampoo my hair very often. When I wash it regularly, I use a process called “co-washing”, where I wash my hair out with conditioner in order to keep it moisturized and hydrated. With that said, whenever I’m going to straighten my hair, I do use a clarifying shampoo so that I am completely getting all of the excess oils and residue out. I often turn to THIS Carol’s Daughter Shampoo, because the smell is incredible. Another tried and true staple of mine is THIS Trader Joe’s Shampoo, that comes at an amazing price point.

Conditioner

Now, Conditioner is my JAM. I’m constantly trying to products to get soft and touchable hair. My go-to product for co-washing is THIS Deva Curl Conditioner. THIS one is the extra decadent one, so it makes your hair insanely soft. I also love THIS Mixed Chick’s leave in conditioner. I constantly forget about this one, and every time I pick it up again, I’m constantly asking myself why I stopped using it.

Heat Protectant

I do use more heat on my hair than I would like to. I can’t lie about that. With that, it’s extra important to use a heat protectant spray. Both of my top choices come from DryBar. I will use THIS one when I want my hair to feel lighter and more weightless, and THIS one when I’m in more humid climates.

Hot Tools

I use one straightener, and one straightener, only, and it’s THIS one from DryBar. When this one dies on me, I think I’m going to try THIS one, which I’ve heard incredible things about. I also want to try THIS for some crazy reason, but do y’all think that I should do it or that it’s just a scam? I am also a HOT ROLLER girl. I’m going to grab THIS set, soon. For that reason, I haven’t found the perfect curling iron yet, but everyone swears by THIS one.

Texturizing Sprays

In my opinion, there’s only one, and it’s THIS one by Oribe. Holy Grail for sure!

Dry Shampoos

Once again, it’s Oribe to the rescue with THIS one, but I also reach for THIS one.

Other Styling Items

When it comes to hairspray, I keep it old school. THIS will forever be my favorite, until I find something that compares. For treatment oils, I turn to THIS one. I have been dying to try THIS hair perfume. When I need to lay my hair down around the edges or need to give my hair a little textured edge when it’s short, I love THIS pomade by Ouai.
