Mask Off - The Ultimate Reset
by AJANI
Face masks are the staple of the Saturday night beauty ritual. Masks are the perfect way to quickly get nutrients to your skin and press the reset button when your face needs it the most.
Different masks target different problem areas in the skin. One amazing use for masks is to get a quick dose of moisture to your skin. We put our skin through a lot on a daily basis, and most of it tends to dry it out. For daily makeup wearers, dry skin is inevitable. A weekly mask is the best way to get your skin back on track.
It’s important to note that all masks are not “one size fits all”. While some masks can deliver a drink of water to your face, others are meant to dry skin out for those times when you’re experiencing breakouts. It’s all about balance and knowing what your skin needs. Our fail proof favorite are sheet masks. These masks are perfect for a range of skin needs. They are portable, so they are perfect for travel. Sheet masks are packed with a serum that isn’t meant to be wiped off, so they are also the most convenient. Once you remove the mask, you just massage the rest of the serum into your skin and let it do the work.
With that said, it is possible to have too much of a good thing. Wash off and peel off masks are not meant to be used daily. These are a one to two times weekly facial treat. Some may argue that sheet masks can and should be used daily, but your skin will tell you if that’s true. Start exploring and let us know what your weekly masking recipe is.
